Research program
Psychiatric response is heterogeneous. The evidence needs to be comparable.
Research Question
Why do some patients respond, remit, relapse, or fail to respond following psychiatric treatment?
Initial Domain
Psilocybin treatment for MDD and TRD. Psychedelics are the initial research domain, not an assumed superior treatment class.
Current evidence program
Evidence status
Current published evidence is too sparse, heterogeneous, and exploratory to support meaningful patient-treatment matching.
Cycle 001 found no replicated, clinically actionable baseline patient characteristic for deciding whether an individual with MDD/TRD should receive psilocybin rather than another treatment path.
Data opportunity
Cycle 002 identified fragmentation and access to participant-level data as the principal bottleneck.
EPIsoDE and Zurich represent approximately 196 potentially harmonizable participants across the two highest-priority requestable cohorts. Data access has not been granted.
